Classic Spas And Hot Tubs Company Story We Started out years ago as a service company specializing in the service and repair of high-end pools. These were mostly the in-ground, custom-designed type that cost $30-40 thousand dollars to design and build and required highly trained technicians to work on. The expertise we gained in the repair of specialty plumbing attracted the attention of the manufacturers of spas and hot tubs. Soon we were contracting with them to do their warranty work. Because of our years of experience in repairing spas, we have a pretty good grip on which manufacturers have the best ideas about spas. We consider such things as overall design, quality, ability to customize and which companies stand behind their products with warranties that mean something. In 1985, we began to sell as Classic Spas and Hot Tubs, Inc. At that time, we dropped the pool end of our business and focused strictly on spas and hot tubs. Most retailers that inventory a stock of the most popular makes and models really aren't interested in the aggravation of the service end of the business, plus keeping a large inventory of parts just for spas, ties up too much of their money. Today we service all brands of spas and hot tubs in parts of nine states, maintaining a huge supply of parts on hand at all times. We have sold & delivered spas & hot tubs throughout the United States and all over the world. ![]() Not every spa is the right spa for every person. You should consider all the aspects of owning one: Where you will put it, what needs to be done to put it there, how it will be used, how much maintenance it will require, what it will cost to operate are just a few of the things to consider. There are dozens of brands and types to choose from. Each has their own good and bad points, depending on what's important to you. Originally we had no intention of getting into retailing spas. We were doing very well-just handling the servicing as a subcontractor. We just found so many people who were happy with our service and would ask our advice when they were ready to replace their spa. Because of our familiarity with the different brands offered on the market today, we can get any "type" of spa a person wants. The reason we can do this is because we are not limited by having only certain models in stock. We order the spa in from the manufacturer with only the features you're interested in. When spas are "in-stock" those are the spas the dealer HAS to sell because that's where his money is tied up. This is the reason so many people make a mistake when they buy their first spa. They "go shopping" to three or four places, see five or six brands and they all begin to look the same so they end up basing their decision on price. They never have anyone explain what the different features do so they can decide which ones they want and which ones they don't because then they might want to order one instead of taking the one on the floor. Pool and Spa News is the main trade journal in the industry. A couple of years ago, they wrote about the boom in the spa industry and how people didn't see them as just a toy anymore. They quoted the owner of Clasic Spas, and other authorities, saying that more and more doctors are recommending hot-water therapy for lots of different ailments. This article-"Big Sales - Little Store" actually singled out Classic Spas because of the unique way we do business. We were really flattered because they usually don't focus on just one business like that, but then there's no one else doing business the way we do! We have no stores, no inventory, none of that overhead, and yet we take orders for spas to the tune of 3,000 spas a year! This is because we use a "virtual store" and bring everything right to the customer. It only makes sense that we take a look at the site to see what special considerations are involved, what limitations you have or what alterations you may need to make so there are no surprises once you get the spa. Our customers like the fact that we aren't limited by an inventory. They know they can order in exactly the model they want and at the best price! If a person wants to see a spa like the one they're considering, we usually have someone in their area with the exact same model they can look at. It's proven to be a very successful method for us. Once we've been out and educated them, it's normally 3-6 months before they actually order but when they do, they almost always give us a shot at their business. Any price quoted will automatically include delivery, installation, a hard cover and a kit of starter chemicals. It also includes our technician doing a final hook up & orientation. Most retailers don't do the actual hook-up because whoever does that takes responsibility for it being done right or any warranty is voided! Having a tech come out gives us a chance to educate the consumer on what options are available so they can pick the spa that's right for them. This unique approach allows us to take advantage in getting the best possible price and means you aren't going to spend money on features you don't care about. Once you have your spa, you're going to have to learn to take care of it. You'll need to learn to maintain the water so it stays clean and clear. Our installers take the time to show you just how to operate the spa and give you a general orientation on using the sanitizers. Within a few days someone from our Customer Care Department will call to make sure you're clear on everything and let you know who they are in case you need them. We periodically call each customer just to stay in touch and see how he or she is doing. It's this kind of attention that makes our customers comfortable referring their friends and relatives to Classic Spas when they are ready to purchase a new spa or hot tub.
